So yeah ive been working at the warehouse for a week and a bit (since the 14th of October) as a Christmas Temporary Employee, and its going ok i guess, im a checkout dude =D and yah ,

So now i just gotta survive the Christmas period and i should have a nice healthy bank account full of money to spend at ones leisure, though there are plans for it, but i might hold off any big plans like a whole computer until i get a permanent job so i can afford to buy a computer and still have enough left over so i can keep spending =D

But there is alot to remember though, and Layby’s are a pain in the ass…..especially once you still need to get used to it =)

ohh well i’ll get it, eventually

Blenderthon 2007/8

Hi whoever reads this blog!
As you may be un-aware Blenderthon is going to be an Event rpgsimmaster and myself are organizing, now with the help from Alltaken at the end of November
This is a Blender3D Event held in Christchurch New Zealand ( well hopefully!)

LOL i know its sad, well technically i do have 2 bucks but its on my eftpos card XD and id rather not spend it till i get’s paid for ma new summer job i got,

but i wanna go to this CLUG (Christchurch Linux User Group) meet on Tuesday and by the sounds of it you need 2 bucks to get in!! mainly as their cheap bastards XD

Screw Stats!! (yes tis a bitch in SQL)

So ya, I hate trying to get stats from inside MySQL tables, Ive made small progress with it but! its only printing for 1 table! I have tried almost everything to get it to work, oh well, SCREW STATS!! i have just made a few adjustments to my DVD Listing’s Database….

Im writing this on my Midnight Code Break =D yeah sad i know but meh i need food XD,
(*For those who dont know ‘Midnight Code Break’ its my way of having a small break from coding, Shut down server services and get a cup of tea and something to eat this is the part of the night where i decide weather i continue to sling some more code before bed or just chill out before going to bed or decide to watch a dvd *)

Anyway, i bumped my DVD Listings Database up to 0.4a tonight after some progress on adding new stuff to the addlisting and list view and some server Information, I at the moment dont have a strict Version Numbering yet, maybe when it reaches 1.0 i will have come up with a Version Numbering Process that i will have to go through, I never will ‘Open’ up code as this is personal stuff, I might only open code to Doug Smith (protocoldoug) and Kevin Welch (AeroIllini) for help purposes…

Whoah! the Man of the House Speaking! (it must be someone important!)

Haha! yes that was a total rip-off from Keeping Up Appearances (Old UK show)
Anyway! tis been a while since my last post and there have been tons of updates to report on!
First off, the SMCSITE refector is now live, now uses the Smarty Template Engine (PHP) and we have a new dev/admin on the team =D
I also have been keeping myself busy the last month, first off i made a Martial Arts Student Database thing so i can keep track of who is in my classes,Another is a very recent one, is my families DVD Collection List Database, so they can add listings at their own lesuire, its a good choice, it uses separate tables for the categories so its all manageable, though i could of used one table but oh well…
Its prop only the only thing i will ever keep working on atm as ive been too lazy to fix up my student database and finish adding stuff to it XD
ohh well, and! ive got a summer job!! whoo hoo!! just heard back from The Warehouse yesterday, waiting to hear back so its all confirmed, i start officially on the 9th, and have a 3hr training session on the 2nd if all goes well =D!!

Help File refactor @ smcsite..which is at #smc @ irc.freenode.net

Well the last day or two ive been a bit busy with helping my dad around the house and whenever i can working on the smcsite help refactor,

Yes, you heard me correctly, I got a bit sick of the current help doc at #smc’s wiki page so i set up my localhost server and started working on de-junking the current help file into seperate files and turned the help page into something new! and improved in a way,

Ive spent the lsat couple of hours this evening working on checking weather the doc exists and prints a message and just getting it to work nicely with the other code, I even managed to fix a title bug that i had aswell, naturally it was something so SIMPLE!

Im now just waiting to show protocoldoug so i can make quick additions and fixing it up before commiting the new look into my branch!

So, yeah, i just installed Ruby for the first time EVER and had a go with a nice basic script,
Though when i was trying to get used to the puts and gets and the whole shizbang on making stuff work, I finally managed to get the following code work!

Last night i thought id take a break from working on SMCSite as there is one thing im trying to work more on smcsite’s title, and so anyway, thought id let myself get side-tracked by something that will arouse my interests abit more into hte world of php learning, well and mysql as the title suggests, and i was just happily flinging bits of HTML and PHP together to achieve what i was wondering how todo for my side-track project, and i thought id try something taht interacts sorta with MySQL so i can learn both at the same time, oh and i was creating a random first function…

Okay so its been A-LONG since i have seen my PROPER site, so i have decided to create a temporary blog/log for myself till i can be bothered poking Gerard (my host) about why the hell is my site still not showing! and what the fuck is going on with his domain issues o_O

Anyway, you will notice its got a page called #smc Project, this is my Developer Log for the IRC Bot in #smc on irc.freenode.net  … and this will serve as a blog for myself … and other bits and pieces that turn me on! (yes i was inspired b The Goodies for that bit in the title!) …
